Random Thoughts from the Weekend

1. I don't like pineapple airfreshener, that is what they use at work in the bathrooms.
2. I cannot believe that Mrs. Hulk Hogan filed for divorce from Terry.
3. I love Target. Target is great. Cleaner than Wal Mart. Better selection of cool things and they have a Starbucks inside.

Black Friday

Black Friday, up at 4:00 am, in Madison Wal Mart at 4:45. At 5:00, they sounded a tone and we were able to grab the goods. I did get what I wanted so it was worth it.

Headed to JC Penney, picked up my free Disney snow globe(s). Bought a couple of early bird items there, jotted through the mall a bit and left by 7:00 am. Headed to Super K which was a real disappointment, bought bananas there. Headed to Walgreens and picked up their early bird specials, plus milk gallons were $2.59 and the lady let me have 3 instead 2 which was the limit.

Home for a rest and lunch. Got cleaned up and went back out with Larry and Timmy. First, we both filled up at Get Go for $1.1o off a gallon. We hold the hose open and do both cars. Headed to Target where we picked up a few things and back home again.

Turkey Trot Tomorrow is Thanksgiving

Thank God it is Thanksgiving weekend. I am so tired and I need the rest. Frankly, I like Thanksgiving better than Christmas. Christmas is a let down on the 26th and it is dreary.

Progressive had a heart today and let us go at 2:30. I came home to hang out with Larry and Timmy and have dinner. I am paid in full to walk a mile tomorrow for the Turkey Trot in Cleveland but if it is raining, I am cancelling out. Amy, Heather and Rachel are the real runners and they will enjoy the competition.

I look forward to shopping for deals and relaxing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I'm Safe...For Now

You may have heard on the news that Progressive had a major layoff Thursday. They let 264 IT workers go. Thankfully, I was not one of them. There were a lot of tears and puzzled faces walking around the building yesterday, it was a very eerie feeling as we looked out the windows to see people driving away. They were all told at the same time in meetings. I am extremely grateful to have my job.

Phew...it is over. Our first ever, official Cesa Family photo has been taken. We all met up at JC Penney last night wearing pink and white and got the entire family photo taken. Note to others wanting to take a family photo: Do not schedule it in November when people are having their Christmas photos done. It was a mad house up there.

From JCP, we went to Bennigan's to take advantage of the great dinner deals they offer through coupons.

Now, onward into the holiday season.

Been Awhile

So, so busy these days...I always say that, don't I?

My husband's brother had open heart surgery today and we were down at the cleveland clinic pretty much all day to show our support. he came out of the surgery with flying colors and now starts the long and hard road to recovery.

My nephew Brian turned 7 this weekend, time flies and I need to find out what Moon Sand is and just who are the Naked Brothers Band.

Larry and I are hosting Thanksgiving this Sunday for his family at our house. This way, everyone can travel wherever they'd like on Thursday. We started shopping and are trying to catch the Food Channel for some cooking tips.

Back to work Wednesday--the night of our first ever complete family portrait at Penney's. Wish us luck!!

Camp Weekend

Camp Weekend with the BG girls was this weekend. Kudos to Gwen for flying in from Chicago, leaving her boys at home with so many activities going on. Kudos also to Sue for leaving her 2 little ones in Phoenix, Arizona for the weekend. It was AWESOME to have you both at camp. Jill and Jen, with all that is going on, we all appreciate you making the effort to come to camp for the time that you did. Lynne and Cindy, we hope to see you next year.

We had an awesome weekend together. It is always good to take time out to re-connect with your friends, regroup and go back home and appreciate the life that you have. Hopefully, we'll all be together at the Lake House in January.
