Calling All Salers

My development is having a garage sale the first weekend in May. I am planning to have a table set up on Saturday, May 6th. If anyone wants to bring anything over and try to sell it or go shopping yourself, let me know. I am contemplating taking off Friday but have not decided yet.

It's a Boy!

I cannot believe I am typing these words about my life. It is truly a surreal experience for me after going through 3.5 years, 2 surgeries, 2 failed ivfs and 7 artificial insemminations. I cannnot believe I actually have a life inside me.

Thursday was my 21 week ultrasound. I was so nervous all day, couldn't wait for 12 at work. I took a half day and my husband picked me up. I drank my water and was totally fine holding it. I held my breath as the Indian doctor pressed that darned probe on my stomach. Minutes that went on forever and finally he asked if we wanted to know what it was. I said, yes, but I want to know if it is healthy first.

He told me that nothing appeared to looks like Downs, but of course, he couldn't guarantee anything. Anyway, I am feeling better, now, starting to believe this is going to happen and now need to get on the ball and get a daycare, register, and get some baby furniture.

Celebrity Cooking Sucks

I have to comment on this. I was going to watch this, I was excited about it. The first night, I was so distracted by the audience yelling and cheering that I could not watch the show. I tuned in for the second night and it upset me so much that I watched SuperNanny instead. What a disappointment that cooking show was.

Need a Party Room

OK. I need a party room for my baby shower so that I can bring my own food in. Mentor Beach Park, the civic center, Lakefront Lodge are all booked. Does anyone know anyone who has a nice apartment party room?

I'm so tired.

This past weekend was Easter and it knocked me off my feet...literally. On Friday night, I started limping because my right foot just hurt so much. By Saturday morning, I could hardly walk. I went to Super Wal Mart and continued to work all day in the kitchen for the big pre-Easter dinner that we hosted at our house. That night, I actually used the foot soaker machine that Larry bought me for Christmas a few years ago. Sunday, I woke up and had a knot in my calf muscle. After Easter with the family, I was so tired, I fell into bed. Went to work today and could hardly keep my eyes open. Came home, took a walk by the lake and again, am ready for bed and it is only 9:00.

My big plan of the night is to watch this Celebrity Cookoff Show and then watch the second episode of "What About Brian?" which looks like it might suck me in.

Also, we're watching the Next Food Network Star and rooting for Guy Fieri. Anyone else?

Wednesday

Larry's birthday came and went, time flies. This weekend, we went to a "Night at the Races" fundraiser, my nephew's 1st birthday and my aunt's 60 birthday at a local winery. Busy, busy, busy.....this week, I am gearing up to have my husband's family over for Holy Saturday Night dinner. I bought a ham from Costco after checking into the Honeybaked Ham Stores quote that they couldn't guarantee a 7 lb ham but only 7-12 ranging from $40 - $70 dollars. I'll take my chances with Costco. My mom says that the women up there swear by it. On Easter Sunday, we'll be spending time our Cesa cousins which will surely be a good time.

Last night we took a walk down to the playground and back. I wasn't quite up to walking all the way down to the lake on my first outing. We met some neighbors and surveyed our backyard. We had never actually set foot back there since we bought the house in the winter time and it has been rainy and cold since. We actually have a pretty big back yard----great, just more to landscape and maintain.

That's all for now.....

Best Laid Plans

Tomorrow is my husband's birthday. I had planned to suprise him with a family dinner at Brasa Grill down on West 6th. I got a call from him today saying that the Athletic Director at the high school cancelled his track meet today due to rain and reschedule it for tomorrow so we couldn't go to dinner.

I told him that I had invited his brothers and cousins for dinner. Fortunately, I was able to call all of them and all but one could come tonight for dinner.

It just reminds me when they say, "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans."

Something Strange This Week

On Wednesday of this week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be

01:02:03 04/05/06!

That won't ever happen again.

Somebody sent this to me, it is pretty cool.

Rachael Ray's Honey Nut Chicken

I made this last night and I felt like a cook when I made it. Honestly though, it was only okay to me. The reviews raved it up so much. If it sounds good to you and you make it, let me know.

Triple Check or Not to Triple Check?

That was the question I faced at Dr. Clinger's today. I didn't know what to do. On one hand, I wanted to know if something is wrong with the baby so I could prepare myself. On the other hand, there are false positives and I am not sure that I could handle the anxiety for the next 4 1/2 months.

When Cling came in, she told me that I could just wait until the in depth ultrasound because it is very thorough and it would provide a lot of information. So, that is what I decided to do. Skip the blood test and just have the ultrasound to start. If somethng comes up on the ultrasound, they will monitor the situation or do more testing.

Anyone else have thoughts on this topic?

By the way, Baby Nosse is doing just fine. Heard the heart beat at 150 beats per minute which she said was just great. Right now, I am at week 19.
