Finally...

Football season is finally over. I went to the last half of the last game in the rain on Friday night (thanks to my mother for babysitting). Euclid lost to Mentor and their chances at the playoffs were dashed. I am sorry for my husband and all the work he puts into the team, but, I am very happy for myself and my son.

Middle of the Week

Last night, I had the luxury of driving into Euclid to Value City by myself! I bought myself a new purse, jacket, jeans, a sweater and 2 turtle necks. I spent an hour in the store and was gone for a total of 2 hours. When I came home, my husband said, "I see what you mean about not getting anything done." Oh yeah? Two hours he was home with the baby. He has no idea.

Anyway, driving home, I heard "Rio" by Duran Duran and automatically thought of Heather. Next came "We're Not Going to Take It" and I realized I had caught the "80s at 8" on Mix 106.5. That music reminds me of good times, good times those were.

This weekend is my BGSU girls weekend at the cabin in Madison. I will bring TK on Friday night to dinner and to hang out with the girls. On Saturday, I will wait for Larry to come home from football, then I will meet up with the girls for the rest of the day and stay until late. It won't be the same as other years since I won't be spending the night but it will be good to see them again.

Pampered Chef -- wished it was girls night

I went to my friend Rachel's Pampered Chef party tonight. Boy, did I wish it was one of our girl's nights. Yeah, yeah, buy the baking brick and the cook muffin pans....yada, yada, yada. Pack up your stuff so we can sit around and talk. I got a chance to relax just briefly w/ Nicole, Heather, Jodie, Amy and Ray, I would have appreciated more time. With holidays coming up, let's make sure we keep room open for a few laughs with the girls.

PS....Ray, loved your house, it is beautiful. Wish my husband could do some of that work at our place.

Ok, I was watching tv and came across Flavor of Love 2. Who watches this show and wny? It was rated the #1 show in VH1 history. I don't get the attraction, can someone please explain it to me?

The Olsen Twins

OK, so being on maternity leave has given me the opportunity to watch more television than usual. This week, I was watching "I love the 80s (Strikes Back)" and they were talking about "Full House" so mid-80's. Anyway, actor/comedian and "Celebrity Duets" star Hal Sparks says what I said 20 years ago. He said that the Olsen Twins looked like Monchichi dolls. I said those girls were ugly kids many, many years ago when people said they were so cute. Little did I know what they'd become.

George Michael Arrested on Drug Charges

LONDON -- Police arrested singer George Michael on suspicion of possessing drugs after finding him slumped over the steering wheel of his car in London, authorities said Monday.

Police arrested Michael early Sunday after responding to complaints that a car was blocking an intersection in North London at 3:22 a.m. He received a caution for possession of cannabis and was released on bail on a charge of being unfit to drive. He has a November court date.

Just a week earlier, Michael gave his first solo concert in 15 years. The concert in Spain kicked off his new tour, "25 Live," which is booked at 28 European cities this fall.

Police had earlier warned Michael for possession of cannabis in February.

In April, he hit three parked cars. He later acknowledged in an interview that he was a "terrible driver" and said he was trying to maneuver out of a parking spot.
