Scott Baio Update

Wrap Up

Friday night was Euclid's first game of the season which they lost, but played pretty well in a couple of plays. Timmy enjoyed the game. Between the lights, the band and the teenagers, he was clapping and smiling.

Also, it is nice because Lance/Laurie brought the kids and Lee and his girlfriend came along with my father. It is a nice way to get together to support Larry and to be entertained.

Saturday, I did some errands and took Timmy to a few garage sales at which I found nothing. I was near the McDonald's on Heisley and I was so thirsty. I drove through McDonald's and got the 32 ounce iced tea for $.89. I gave the girl my dollar and enjoyed my humongous iced tea with lemon and splenda. It was awesome.

Came home, cleaned the downstairs up and waited for Larry to come home from football. Then, we drove out to see some friends for the evening. Sunday, cleaned upstairs and straightened downstairs again. Timmy napped and I waited for Larry to come home from football. We went to Giant Eagle and to the Half Off Card Shop where I found Thomasa the Tank Engine table clothes marked down from 5.99 to 1.00 in the clearance bin. I bought 14 for the pavilion tables. With my 20% off coupon, it was even less!

As I type, I am waiting for my hair color to do it's majic. Only 20 more minutes and my 2.73 hair color will transform me into a gorgeous hair model.

Big week this week, Larry's game vs. St. Ed's is Thursday night on TV so it will throw off the schedule a little. Then, Timmy's first birthday is Sunday so there's lots to do.

Monday, Monday

Random thoughts...

-Larry and I painted the wall above the fire place and the accent wall that runs into the kitchen. It is a chocolate brown and I love it. It makes me want to do more but we don't have extra cash to paint the entire house.

-Football starts this Friday night. My how time flies.

-I love couponing. I am addicted and in fact, I could list it as a hobby on a job interview. Ditto for garage saling.

-I started Christmas shopping, don't hate me!

Turkey Trot

Tonight, I am going to start training to I can join my 2 sisters in Cleveland's Turkey Trot which benefits the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland. It is a 5 mile run or 1 mile walk. I am going to start walking 1 mile tonight and see how it goes. Then, I will increase steadily and determine if walk/jogging is even an option for me. Who wants to join Jeanne, Amy and I for the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day?

Girls Night Girls

I have been thinking about starting a mom's group at my childcare in order to meet new people and share ideas. Then, when I started thinking about all that would be involved, I realized that I already have every group I need.

You girls are my "moms" group, my girlfriends, my fresh ideads, my recipe swap and lessons for living exchange. You tell me when my idea is dumb and you even put me in my place when I am too "refreshingly honest."

I talked to Nicole every day, couldn't have this great life without you. Amy is a rock hard sounding board. Talk about calling it like it is. She doesn't mince words. Rachel's crocs are my latest fashion envy. I just copy her styles and I know I am looking good. My cousin H has always been a huge supporter of me and continues to be a great friend. This week, I stopped on the way home from work and dropped off coupons to Jodie, in return, she gave me some tomatoes for tacos that night. Jodie is better than Martha Stewart.

You guys are great, thanks for rearranging your schedules to fit in girls night a couple of times each month. They are one of the highlights of my weeks.

I think I speak for all of us when I say that we all miss you and we wish that you were here with us all the time.

Gotta say though that when you come back, it is like we all just pick up where we left off last time. We're such good friends that we don't have to get reacqainted, we can all just say anything, share anything and offer anything that we feel.

We know that you're doing your best in Florida and we wish only the happiest life for you guys. Hopefully, we can convince you to come back for winter vacation.

Feelin' Groovy

Words of wisdom. In my effort to slow down, I made no plans this past weekend. On Friday night, we ate in and we planned on watching a movie. Larry's brother and his family called @ 7:15 to tell us they were stopping by. We went to the park and had a nice visit.

Saturday, I garage saled Carol all morning, stopped by my mom's where I found that my two aunts were visiting and headed home. No plans Saturday except to sit out by the fire with some neighbors.

Sunday was a dreary day, helped my dad for awhile, watched tv and went to dinner at Zappitelli's in Mentor/Concord?

Still a full weekend, definitely not as busy as past weekends. I have found that being at home weeknights allows me to keep up with the laundy, keeping the kitchen clean and the toys put away.
