Back to Work

I have to go back to work tomorrow. I must admit I was starting to enjoy being at home, but was definitely spending too much money shopping. I am happy to go back to work to keep bringing home the paycheck that our family needs. I am anxious to get back into a routine instead of floating through the days, nights, weeks and months. I'm sure that in a couple of weeks, I'll be ready to quit and stay home, but that just is not financially possible. Tomorrow we take TK to day care so we'll see how the week plays out. More later...

Date Night

Baby Timmy is now 3 months old and we are finally going to get the chance to have a date night out on Wednesday night. Grandma is going to watch baby while Larry and I go see the new Christmas movie "Deck the Halls". We can't wait.

Baby is sleeping 7-9 hours at night now so we are getting more sleep and only have this week until he goes to daycare and I go back to work.

Schwans

Well, the Schwan's truck has been driving up and down our street since we moved in and we finally decided to give them a try -- Larry actually was the big motivator for this one, he thought they just sold ice cream, but when he found out there was food too, they had him interested.

We ordered an Andes Mint pie which was awesome and highly raved about by the people who enjoyed it at our last poker gathering. Today, Larry and I had the Tortilla Soup for lunch and it was just okay. We still have to try the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the free ice cream that came with it. More to follow...

Black Friday 2006

Here is a link to one of the Black Friday web sites. Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving when you can get up at the crack of dawn to go out and buy something at a really, really good price. Great Clips

Larry and I went out to do some errands on Saturday and we stopped at Great Clips by Kohl's in Mentor to get Larry's hair cut. I decided to get mine cut too. It was $10 and it looks great, I am happy to say. Just in case anyone wanted to be brave and save some money.

Speaking of Formula

If anyone has any coupons/checks for Enfamil that they are not using, please send them to me! I will pass on my Similac and Nestle Good Starts in return.

Up Early

It is almost 3 am, I have been up since 1:40am to feed TK and now he won't go back to sleep. He is wide awake and sitting in the bouncer watching me as I type this. I hope that the bouncer puts him to sleep so I can put him back in his crib without him realizing it.

We had switched his formula to the Sam's Club brand but after 3 days, his stomach would not take it so we had to switch him back. Otherwise he is doing well. I only have 3 weeks of maternity leave left, everyone was right, it did go by too quickly.

Unusual Comment I Took as Compliment

Saturday night, we went down to visit our friends in Columbus who were having an Ohio State football party. After most people left, 7 of us sat down to play Texas Hold Em, we played 4 games. Baby TK woke up to be fed during the game and they took a short break while I made the bottle, then, I proceeded with the game with the baby and bottle in my hand. Holding em and folding them as he drank. Our friend Wendy said that "There aren't too many women who can feed a baby while playing poker." I guess I have never been the traditional woman, have I?
