Finally Friday

Half day today, Timmy has a doctor's appt. Tonight is the big Euclid vs. Mentor game which Larry says they don't expect to win, but there is always a possibility. Larry's family and my parents are coming to the game, weather permitting.

Poor Freddy

I'll admit to being tired. I'll admit to being stressed. I'll admit to being emotional. Frankly, thank God for Freddy Mercury tonight.

It's been a long day, week...you name it....I found myself watching "Freddy Mercury: Magic" on VH1 about his life growing up in India and London and getting a band together. He became famous and rich and threw fabulous parties with tons of gay fun, drugs and alcohol.

I'm watching his fag friends talk about how they miss him and all the fun they had. His mom and sister too. To my surprise, I'm crying over Freddy Mercury's death on the sofa of my living room. And I don't mean sniff, sniff. I'm shedding tears here. His final song was beautfiful:

Opinionated, me?

Yes, I will admit, I am opinionated and most people don't like it.

I had a little chat with Nicole tonight and I really gave her an argument. She doesn't like Elisabeth Haaselbeck and she doesn't think Whoopi Goldberg is a good choice on The View. I argued with her, mostly because it is fun and really, meaningless who likes who on The View. Sorry Nicole, don't be offended. We all have our rights to our opinions. You know it was not serious.

Hey, I have always said that I thought that the Olsen Twins were the ugliest babies on TV since Full House aired. Now, I think Bindy Irwin wins the prize. I've always thought that Applebee's food is inferior and I won't eat there. I think that people who buy cars specifically for the rear spoiler are obnoxious.

I judge people by their looks, I admit it. Now, I just have to accept that other people are their own opinions and are entitled to them as well.

Disappointed in Barry

Here is a snippet:

Ya know Barry, I think this is pretty lame. So you don't like Elisabeth's political views? Get over it. You're there to hawk your record, not have a debate. Suck it up, you may lose all the conservative record buyers because of you stance, you idiot. Can't you agree to disagree? I do it all the time.

To Blog Or Not To Blog

Well, with people not blogging anymore, I wonder if I should? I guess if you are thinking of it as a task, you shouldn't do it but I am sure going to miss Amy and Val's blogs! They are a great way to keep up to date.

Got My Crocs

I finally bought my official Crocs on Monday from Dillard's. They were $29.99 and I bought them in brown. They are very comfortable. I want to order a pair that does not have holes in them for the winter.

I know that they are not fashionable, but they sure are comfortable.

Done with the Big Bird (Well, Almost)

I'm ticked off at Giant Eagle. This week they announced they were no longer doubling manufacturer's coupons. They said that customers prefer the fuel perks and are not interested in using coupons. Are they kidding?

I have always thought that Giant Eagle's prices have been too high, but with the convenience foods they offer and the double coupons, I was going there. Well, no more!

One major reason is priciple. They discontinued the coupons without warning to the consumers, also, they are lying about what consumers want. They got what they wanted driving Tops out of business and now they want to remain the dominating grocery store chain.

I for one, will be going back to Marc's for my groceries and getting my meat/produce from Heinen's near my work or if only option, Giant Eagle.

Becoming Jane

Wednesday night, Rita and I met at the theater to see Becoming Jane. Don't read any further if you don't like period pieces, Brit lit or English accents. Continue reading if you loved Pride and Prejudice.

Ann Hathaway is beautiful and captivating as a young Jane Austen. The scenery in England, the costumes and the characters were perfect.

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Would see it again. Liked it better than last year's Pride and Prejudice starring Kiera Knightly, but not as much as the BBC's version of Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth.

Timmy's not up yet, but today is his birthday. The years has gone by both so fast and it also feels like his birthday was a long time ago. He's grown so much in one year. Today, Larry has a JV game on the West side so Timmy and I are going to get his one year old photo taken at JC Penney. Then, we are going to meet JenPro and the girls at Damon's for a birthday lunch. Then, we'll need to pick up his birthday cake from Giant Eagle and come home to do the last prepartions for his party on Sunday.
