Christmas is Over

And I am happy...Christmas just came up too quickly on me this year and I felt like I was rush, rush, rushing around every day. We spent a lot of quality time with many different friends and family and now I am looking forward to the ho hum quiet of January and February.

Today is the day after Christmas and we did some shopping today. We bought a Proform treadmill to get some walking in on the cold winter evenings coming up. We also bought a digital camera that Larry has been whining about for the past year. He says we were the only family on the block still buying the disposables. Oh well, now I guess we're up to speed.

For 2007 we have some goals to limit spending, limit food intake and limit stress. We hope to have another great year with Timothy and the rest of our family and friends.

This Woman at Kohl's

The other day I parked my car on my lunch hour at Kohl's. The weather was freezing and the wind made it worse. I had to park far away because Kohl's is always crowded at lunch time. I'm just out of my car when this woman asked me if I would take her cart in. I looked at her -- she was definitely under 50 years old, not disabled, had no kids, looked in good health. What was wrong with her two legs? If she knew she was not going to want to take the cart back in, she shouldn't have wheeled one out.

Anyway, I could hardly say No so I took it and pushed it in the wind with a bad wheel til I got to the door where I had to press the Handicap button in order to get the door open, then do the same in the inner doorway. Boy was I mad.

I have talked to one of my good, good friends about this, is she too nice or am I just a big bitch?

Mid December

Yes, it is already mid December. TK has survived 2 full weeks of daycare and is doing well. Larry and I pop in at different times to pick him up each day and every day he is happy and smiling. I'm less anxious about daycare now that he is up there.

The holidays are upon us. We've already had our annual trip down to Tower City to see the decorations, we've attended the best party of the year -- the Caton Ornament party and we've already have our live tree up and decorated.

This is Timothy's first Christmas so we are going to send out the often hated family Christmas card. We've been waiting a long time to to do this. This time last year, we had no idea that we were going to be having a baby in the new year.

Now, I've just got to get the labels done and mail out the cards. Our girl's Christmas cookie exchange is coming up so I have to start baking. And, I cannot wait for my good friend Val to come home for Christmas. I know she'll be busy visiting her family in Ohio but to hang out with her for just one night and talk about old and new times is such a special treat.
