Pretty Cool
I am posting this article I found, pretty cool. Not sure if I'd ever really do it though.
In Search Of 2
A daycare. I am looking for a good day care between Willoughby and Painesville. Since I will be sharing drop off/pick up duties with Larry who goes to Euclid in the morning, it seems that Willoughby Montessori would be a good located on Rte. 91. Does anyone have any feedback on them?
My other thought is Kindercare in Mentor on Mentor Ave. Would appreciate any feedback.

In Search Of
A good haircut. Heather, if you are reading this, I need to get the name of your salon and stylist because you always have a good, modern haircut.
Last night, I went to "Chrissy" at Jennifer & Co. and my haircut is just okay. I paid $31.50 for just a cut to walk out wet. Plus, $6.00 tip to add up to $37.50. I think I should look great for that price.
Last month, I went to "Mark" at Raun - he's the older, balder guy with glasses. He totally screwed up my hair. When Chrissy showed me my bangs last night, I saw what she was pointing out, completely uneven. She even asked me if I cut my own bangs.
Prior to these two adventures, I had been jumping around from "Joe" at Jack Arra and "Amy" at Headlines in Willoughby. Somebody please help me!!!!

There's No Place Like Home
Reason for the Wizard of Oz reference? My friends from college are all meeting in Chicago this summer to see the play "Wicked" and we're really excited......
I'm at home in the "den" typing on the computer. Tonight was the first night that I came directly home from work and don't have to do anything (besides make dinner and do laundry). We closed up the South Euclid house last night and walked away forever. So glad we're done with that. Now, it is just getting the new house in order. I feel like we're staying at someone else's home, soon it will feel like our home.
Poor Larry had a track banquet last night and tonight he has a track meet. He is very busy during the school year with sports. This Saturday, he has to go down to Ohio State for the indoor state meet. I shouldn't say "poor" Larry because he loves it, it just makes him tired.

TGIF
We've been waiting for this Friday for a long time. Yesterday, we closed on the new house and got the keys. Mom/Dad and Larry and I brought a truck and carload out there yesterday and unpacked a bit. We barely made a dent in the amount of stuff that needs to be moved in.
I'm at work and really don't want to be here today. I have two meetings so hopefully that will help the day pass more quickly. I want to take more out to the house tonight but my husband does not. We are both very tired and stressed out. By next week at this time, things should be better.

A Different Life
I went to Barnes & Noble on my lunch hour to pick up 7 little gift books for the Larry's high school seniors for the track banquet next week. Since I was short on time, I decided to buy my lunch at the cafe there in the bookstore. As I ordered, someone called my name from behind the counter.
It was my old friend D from when I waitressed at the Clarion @ 12 years ago. She used to live above Lino's bar in Wickliffe and would hang out there after our shift at the Clarion. I used to go with her and see my other old friend, Tim Koches from Dinero's pizza. Anyway, she is working at the Barnes & Noble cafe for the past 3 years. Around 5 years ago, I ran into her working at Nordstrom's cafe and before that it was the restaurant at the Richmond Hts. airport.
So, she tells me how much she makes there, about $200 a week. She's 56 years old. She has a 27 year old son who had heart surgery last month and doesn't work and she has moved in with her mother because rent was too high.
I found myself feeling guilty about my life. I told her that I hated my dead-end job, had a hard time getting pregnant and had a lot of debt. She asked where I lived and I didn't tell her that we just bought a new house. It is just interesting how people end up going down different paths and how their lives turn out.
For all I know, she is as happy as a clam with her life. She told me that she hasn't been motivated to look for a better job and she's happy that her son is alive and well. Guess it is all in your perspective.

Reality TV Update
Here is what I am watching--
#1 Single starring Lisa Loeb - I really like it although not sure of my opinion on her yet. Anybody else watching this?
American Idol - Watch this every week. Like Chris Daughtry and others.
Real World - Yes, I still watch this dumb show. The RW/RR Challenge just irritated me. I hate that Mark was dating that bitchy girl....what was her name? My memory is not what it used to be. I also wonder why Timmy and Suzi broke up. Anybody know?
What's that one where the 7 famous people live in a house? I cannot remember but it just started and I am going to watch it.

Monday, March 20
Wow, what a week it has been. So busy......Took off Friday to go down to the parade with my husband's brothers and their significant others. We went to the House of Blues and watched Brian and Joe--they were excellent and very entertainint. After lunch, it was too cold to watch the parade so we stood out long enough to see Mom and Jeanne in the Irish American Club, then, we stayed in the Arcade for about an hour or so.
Saturday, I went down to Dresden with my friend Laurie from college. We lucked out with a sunny day to keep the chill off of us. We found some stuff we liked at the Homestead and basically I lamented about the out of date stuff they offer in Dresden. I like the stores that sell actual Longaberger materials, but the other shops that sell old crap just suck. I won't be heading down there until I go on a bus trip. Those are always fun.
We packed up the rest of the house and went out for pizza and goodbyes with our neighbors. Getting ready to move out of South Euclid this weekend. Cannot wait.

Carol's Wedding Reception
Last night was Carol and Mike's wedding reception. It was held on the west side. The good was good (I gave myself dispensation to have meat on a Friday in Lent). Carol looked great in her wedding dress and the hall looked very nice, especially the centerpieces. We had to leave early so Larry could get up to go down to Ohio State for a track meet.
Today, I'm putzing around the house and shopping for some new clothes. My sweaters look really bad and I need a couple more to get me through to Spring. Then, I'm driving down to Columbus to pick up Larry and go to a party down there.
Sunday is my nephew and Godson Kevin's 1st birthday. We'll be back to celebrate with friends and family.
No rest is best -- that is our new motto.

Baby Names
My co-workers spent Friday afternoon coming up with baby names for our child to be born this summer. I kind of thought that two of them were humorous although one is an inside joke.
- Shin - A boy's name that when said with the last name would be Shin Nosse. The funny part of this is we work with a guy they call by his last name-->Shinosky.
- Curly - A boy's name that when said with the parents name would be-->Larry, Curly and Mary Jo. That got a chuckle out of me.
I think the whole thing is pretty nosse-ating.

14 Week Appointment
After a stressfull night worrying about trains in my backyard, I went to my doctor for my 14 week appointment. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I hadn't gained any weight and my blood pressure was normal.
I got up on the table for the pelvic ultrasound and Dr. Clinger looked and looked but found no heartbeat. She stopped talking which scared me. She told me to undress and she'd do the internal ultrasound. I breathed a huge sigh of relief when she was able to see the heartbeat on the monitor. She commented that the baby was a big one (surprise, surprise).
Everything looked great and I go back on 4/4 for my next appointment and 4/20 for the "big ultrasound" where they will hopefully make sure there is nothing wrong with the baby.

Monday, Monday
Sunday was a crazy day for me. We drove out to Burton for a pancake breakfast, then to my aunt's who was having a free garage sale. Then, we drove into Willoughby and stopped in at a friend's daughter's 16th birthday. We hooked up with Larry's cousins and drove out to show them the new house in Painesville. From Painesville, we drove in and met another couple for dinner at Don Pablos. Then, we were finally able to go home to bed.
Today the weather is kind of mild so it might be a little warmer this week. I've got some errands to do at lunch and then I promised a friend I'd go see Pride and Prejudice with her tonight. Larry is teaching CPR at the highschool tonight so at least I won't have to miss a night with him.
Tomorrow I go to the doctor for my 15 week appointment and I cannot wait to get another look at how the baby is doing. I have been feeling great, no problems to report at this point. I am looking for the weather to break so I can start walking outside. At the new house, we can walk to the lake for fresh air and a beautiful view.

We've Outta Here!
We sold our house! For us, it was worth paying the realtor his commission to get our house buzzing with the other realtors. Now, we're just looking forward to the rest of the packing : )
We bought (or should I say financed?) a sofa set from Value City Furniture and also a mattress set from Mattress Matters. If you stop at the MM in Mentor, make sure to ask for Frank. He knows his mattress. Larry is finally getting the California King bed he has been dreaming of since high school. He wants a big man Lazyboy recliner but now, he'll need to wait a few more years for that dream to come true.
