I'm Hungry
Is there a hunger shut off valve? If so, I might need a transplant. It is almost 10 am and I am hungry. I had 2 pieces of health nut whole grain bread and cup of tea first thing this morning. At the office, I had a banana, apple slices and a 100 calorie bag of graham crackers. Why am I so hungry? Can anyone relate?

Monday, Already?
I cannot believe that it is Monday again already...Friday night, we went to Mark's Time Out with friends and their 5 month old for fish for the first Friday of Lent. We laughed as we watched a group of about 6 boys ages 7-12 pouring money into the game where the big "grabber" tries to grab a stuffed animal. They successfully captured one stuffed bear. We laughed as we admitted that we could spend our Friday night just watching these boys try to win the stuffed animals. Also, the Leinenkugal girls were there from the Miller Co. passing out free bottles of beer. We had those which kept us there for 3 hours.
Saturday, after shopping at Save-a-Lot and getting an oil change, we headed down to Lewis Center near Columbus to visit Jason and Wendy, Larry's college friends. We went to Molly Woo's for chinese and played Texas hold 'em with some of their friends while Timmy slept soundly.
Sunday morning, we went to Red Robin for my favorite California Chicken sandwich and headed back up to Cleveland for my Dad's 65th birthday dinner at mom and dad's house. From there, we headed to Giant Eagle to pick up some groceries for the week.

Whirrrrrrrlllling Busy
Last Thursday, I went with a friend to an infertility support group meeting. It was held at a Panera so it was very casual. Only my friend and I showed up to meet one of the two moderators they had for the group. The girl we met was a total turnoff and might explain why there are not so many people in the group. Since she has not done an ivf yet and is still going through the process, I feel it is "calling", if you will, to try and help others who are going through the Hell that is also known as infertility. I volunteered to help them and we'll see what develops with this down the line.
Friday night, Larry took me downtown to dinner at Pickwick & Frolic and to see a comedian with another couple. The show was excellent. After three glasses of wine, we weathered the cold and walked down to Flannery's for a drink where my friend Alice and I watched a really ugly girl in a fight with her boyfriend, we were entertained. From there, we went up to our hotel and had champagne and girl scout cookies and talked with our friends. It was a great night and we were not worried at all about Timmy who stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Cesa's house.
Saturday, we went out to Cala's for pizza with L\L\D\D and I went thrift shopping with Laurie after dinner. Sunday, we cleaned (well, Larry cleaned more) and watched tv.
Back to work on Monday and the day went slow. I set up an account on ebay Monday night and am going to start slow and sell some books. We'll see how well it goes. Larry and my father are going down to the Q tonight to see the Euclid panthers basketball team play and I plan on catching up on Rosie O'Donnell and The View.

"Good Looking Out"
What does this mean? Randy Jackson on American Idol says, "Good lookin' out, dude" every night. I don't get it. Does it mean, they look good? Does it mean, they did a good job looking out for their own interests? Anyone?

Stressed at Work
It is just past 1:30 and I have to get this video on the website for tomorrow. I put it up once and it is not working. After pulling in a senior developer, he still couldn't figure out the problem, I am now awaiting another developer to look at the situation. I have a 2-3 meeting, and there is a blizzard coming, plus I am off on Wednesday. This stinks!

Spit Happens
On Saturday, my face was killing me with a sinus infection, I called the Cleve Clinic and they said to be seen right away but the only opening they had was 8:20 am in Solon on Sunday morning. So, I got up and went and got my antibiotics.
Got home, changed Timmy and the little prince peed on me. That's okay I thought, we're not going anywhere today and it wasn't that much. No worries.
Larry came home and wanted to go to Beef O'Brady's in Eastlake to see Larry's brother Lenny and his girlfriend Ann for her son's birthday. I hadn't showered so why bother changing my pee sweater? So, yes, I went out in public, then on to my parents to visit them with my pee dried sweater on.
Next day, Monday, I come home from work early because I was not feeling well. I sit with Timothy and this time he coughs up some of his lunch from earlier on me. Oh well, I think as I mix it into my dark sweater. I was waiting for Larry to come home so we could turn around and go back into Euclid for the School Board meeting where he was recognized for Coach of the Year. As I sat in the back of the room and he accepted his award, I thought to myself, pee Sunday, puke Monday, what's next?

My Little Secret
OK, it is no secret that now we've got the new house and the new son, we've got to start conserving some cash. On the advice of my friend Jodie, I went to Save A Lot....and loved it! I had been there before when I lived in South Euclid, but had not been to one in Lake County yet.
I bought their brand milk, ground meat, eggs, cheese and tons more for @ $33. I looked around and I saw other women like me---professionals, shopping at the Save A Lot. It is a dirty little secret nobody wants to admit.
The drawbacks? Limited choice in brands, they did have Cheerios, Chex cereal, Little Debbie snacks, TGIFriday's appetizers. Also, you have to bring your own bag or boxes to take your food to your car. But, the deals I got on Delmonte baby food jars and rice cereal were worth the extra inconvenience. It is a good place to go once a month to stock up on essentials you will always use.
Also today, I went to the Mentor Salvation Army Thrift store. Amy--you should go there for your clothes. Just throw them through the wash once or twice and they are just like they were always yours. I got myself an almost new red Valentine's Day sweater for $2.50, a Longaberger crock for $8.00 and a Tupperware container for $.50. I have been thrifting for years but this Mentor location is one of the best that is, until garage sale season comes up this Spring.
Happy Hunting!

MJo

Forget the clothes and perfume....
I am so excited. I went to the eye doctor's today and my vision has taken a turn for the worse in my right eye so I definitely need new glasses. I always thought it was cheaper to buy glasses at Lenscrafters but I started looking in the doctor's office. The optician saw me looking at the JLo (Jennifer Lopez) glasses and picked out a pair for me that I would have never picked out. She said they looked great with my face, my eye and hair color. So, I bought them, yes, in purple. They are so cool that I might actually wear them instead of glasses.
There's a whole new world out there in fashion eyewear. If you are still wearing big, old, round eye glasses (this means you, Nicole), get out there and get in the new millenium, or even the 90s at least.
My insurance covered the whole thing and I'll be styling and profiling in about 2 weeks!

My Opinion
Let's face it. I have an opinion on every subject. Recently, I have come to the conclusion that my opinions are wanted by some, but not so much by others.
My sister doesn't want my opinion on disciplining kids, my other sister doesn't want my opinion on where to buy her house, my husband doesn't want my opinion of how he handles his teaching/coaching career and my college friends don't even tell me their situation because they don't want my opinion either. I guess I can understand them all, but I always feel that I give my opinion with the intent to help them. I am sorry if I come across too harshly.
Believe it or not, some people do want my opinion. I get paid to give my opinion on how our web site looks. Some people value my opinion on where to get sales and deals. Others value my opinion of area restaurants. And, I have a very valuable opinion on facing infertility. Giving my opinion to people who want it, gives a great feeling of satisfaction for me.
I have the opportunity to either engage or offend 2 new groups with my opinion. I am going to attend the Homeowners Association meeting tomorrow at local high school and am also now involved with the Recreation committee in our development. I am also going to commit to the Parent group at my daycare. So brace yourselves, people, lady with a strong opinion coming through to challenge you.

Super Bowl Sunday
At the last minute, Larry went up to La Malfa with the football coaches for the super bowl. During the game, we received a recorded message that his school was closed Monday due to severe cold. Hurray for him! Times like this, I wish I was a teacher. I am not interested in the game so I watched Jane Eyre on Masterpiece Theater with Timmy. Yes, he actually watched it with me on my lap. Maybe I should have been a British literature teacher, I would have loved that.
